1000 – Support Program for Enhancing the Research and Development Potential of Universities

The purpose of this program is to support projects under specific calls aimed at enhancing the R&D potential of universities.

Applications are accepted online through a call-based system. The call topics, application conditions, procedures, and other specific details are determined and announced by the Presidency.

1001 – The Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program

The aim of this program is to support research projects that comply with scientific principles for generating new information, making scientific interpretations, or solving technological problems.

1002 – Short-Term Support Module

The aim of the Short-Term Support Module is to support short-term, small-budget research and development projects to be carried out in universities, research hospitals, and research institutes/stations.

1003 – Primary Subjects R&D Funding Program

The purpose of this program is to support R&D projects conducted in Turkey, having focused and trackable objectives within the scope of the National Science, Technology, and Innovation Strategy, considering the dynamics of relevant science/technology fields, and to ensure coordination among these projects.

1004 – Center of Excellence Support Program

The aim of the 1004 Program is to support research programs with traceable objectives, scientific qualifications, and high commercialization potential, conducted domestically in priority areas determined within the scope of national goals and policies, by enabling higher education institutions’ research infrastructures to specialize and become centers of excellence through collaboration with R&D/Design centers and public R&D units.

The research program is supported in two phases: Phase I and Phase II.

Applications to the call announced by TÜBİTAK can be made by research universities determined by YÖK and research infrastructures qualified under Law No. 6550, as APYÖK.

1005 – National New Ideas and New Products Research Funding Program

The aim of this program is to support applied research and/or experimental development projects aimed at developing new national/international products/processes/methods/models needed in our country, which will reduce our technological dependence and/or increase our country’s competitiveness.

1007 – Public Institutions Research and Development Projects Support Program

The 1007 Program has been initiated to meet the needs or solve the problems of public institutions that can be addressed through R&D.

R&D projects proposed to address the problems and/or needs identified by public institutions, utilizing the knowledge, trained human resources, and infrastructure capabilities of universities, public R&D units, and private organizations, are supported under this program.

3501 – Career Development Program (CAREER)

The purpose of the Career Development Program (3501) is to encourage the studies of scientists with a PhD degree, who have just started their careers, by providing project support.

Project leaders must:

• Hold a PhD/specialization in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, or proficiency in art before the application date;
• Apply within 7 years following the date of obtaining the PhD/specialization degree;
• Be employed full-time at an institution/organization in Turkey different from the one where the PhD/specialization degree was obtained;
• Hold an academic title of Assistant Professor or lower;
• Not have previously received CAREER support from TÜBİTAK;
• For projects to be conducted in public or higher education institutions, the project leader (excluding retirees) must be a full-time staff member of the respective institution/organization.
